All camps are designed with safety first. All riders wear helmets when mounted and are mounted on safe schooled horses with adult instructors. Responsibility along with fun and learning is highly emphasized. We have limited space so sign up early.

Oaks/Derby Camp

Oaks/Derby Camp is designed to learn a little about the racing industry and to have lots of fun!!! It is open to all levels from ages 6 to 15 years old. We visit a training center, have our own derby race, learn about the careers offered at the track, make our own silks and barn logo, make our derby hats and have a derby parade. Yes we will watch the derby!

Our summer camps

Our summer camps are designed to spend personal time with the horse. The curriculum is designed for fun as well as leaving with a better understanding of the horse. Safety and fun are our first priorities!

Characteristics of the horse
General Horse care
Veterinary Basics
Farrier science
Tack & equipment
Barn maintenance

Mounted subjects that will be covered are:

Basic position on the horse
How to increase and decrease speed
Proper balance of the horse
Steering with perfection
Jumping basics
Riding outside of the arena

As well as covering these subjects we have an arts and crafts time where we explore art in nature! We have a photo shoot with your horse and a fun and games day!

Pony Pal Camps

Ages: 3-6
9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

July 6th - July 9th

Pony Pal Camps are designed with our little friends in mine. This camp is designed for ages 3 to 6 and parents are required to stay. They are a shortened version of our summer camps. We do ride and teach basic balance on the horse and work on coordination on the horse. The last day of camp we ride an obstacle course with an assistant and show off how well we trot. We have a lot of fun learning how to groom and feed and making horsy crafts.
